WHY is Watts Landing Honey is different:

1.  We NEVER feed them sugar (sugar syrup, etc).  There are NO feeders in any of our hives.
2.  Our bee's "Spring Honey" is lighter in color and is the result of what they find to eat in the spring.
3. Their "Fall Honey" is typically darker.  We randomly check water content in our honey before canning using a measuring tool called a "refractometer".  Our average is typically 16.9% water.   *  The LEGAL MAXIMUM water content, to be called Pure Honey, is 18.6%.

4.  After spinning, we let the bees clean out the comb of any remaining drops, as they reuse the frames!
5.  Our honey is only jarred after SCREEN FILTERING from the spinner.  It is NOT pasteurized.   In this  way, it is available to you in its PUREST, most natural and healthiest form!    This is RAW HONEY.
6.  We label our honey jar lids or containers clearly with the date packed...usually just a few hours after the honey frame has been removed from the hive.

We knew that some people DO feed their bees sugars, even Fondant...
and we feel that it is wrong!
We want our Bees and their Honey to be the BEST that nature can offer!

Just read a little of the posts!   I hid the names to protect the guilty.
