I became an RN (Registered Nurse) right after we married in 1999, working at St. Ann's hospital, and serving in the ICU for nearly 20 years.  Having immigrated to Columbus from St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1992 at age 19, following an uncle who came in the 1970s, I worked my way through Nursing college working 3 jobs.
We built our home here in 2003, just outside of Centerburg, and raised our daughters here.
Today, I work from home as an RN Case Manager for a major health insurance company.

My passion for Bees began as a child in Russia, at our summer house (Dacha), where we had many hives, large gardens and a green house, growing all the food we could, as times in Russia were very bad when I was younger.  Most stores had little food to sell, and what was available, was only gotten with luck, after standing in very long lines to enter the store.  My sister, parents, aunts and uncles all worked together to ensure there was food to eat during the winters too.  This taught me a lot about how to survive possible hardships.  Today, we are lucky and thankful to be here in the USA, where opportunity thrives, and hard work does pay off for those willing to work harder and smarter.

I have rose gardens, strawberry bins and other planters now, but we are on target to expand 8 times larger now, so there is plenty to share with those who may not have time, energy or space to grow things.
My love of gardening at home, raising our Bees, spinning honey, growing beautiful flowers, baking my favorite breads, desserts and muffins, will show in all we do here.  We also enjoy many other old-home dishes my mother taught me to make growing up.  Maybe you'd like to try some other Russian/Armenian cultural favs too?

I hope that you enjoy what we have to offer, and know that it brings us joy to prepare it for you!
Let us and everyone else know, if it brought you a little joy as well!

Natalia

I am also an RN licensed in many states, while also working part-time as a Home Healthcare nurse to many elderly Russian immigrants.
